I deal with everything sound related; from location recording, mixing, to sound design and workflows.- Recorded and directed voice over sessions- Creative sound design to enhance videos- Mixing to broadcast standard- Set up and mixed live webcasts and live events- Travel abroad to record location soundI primarily use Avid Pro Tools 12 for any post sound work along with software synths, Avid, Wave, iZotope RX, and Soundtoys plugins. Additionally I use Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effect to work on projects to assist with any extra workload.

A big part of my job is to show people around Staffordshire University; to open and applicant day visitors, to students from year 7 to year 12 and to anyone else the university sees fit. On these tours I may be the first person that the visitor will see or interactive with and is vital to give a great impression.I present a student life talk where I talk in front of up to 200 people in a lecture theatre about university life and my experiences at the university. This lasts for around 15 minutes and requires for me to keep the audience interested and this is usually done with humour, enthusiasm, body language and clear speech. Another event I work are summer schools. This is where students from schools around the UK come to Staffordshire University and stay over night for a few days (I'm on duty the whole time) and get a taster of university life. This involves interacting and connecting with the students and being at the same level of communication, depending on the age group. I also lead workshops and work with the students to help them understand the task and to encourage along the way. Summer schools are a great opportunity for myself to give a lasting impression on the students for years to come.Administer/office work where I help with planning of open days, emails and any general assistance needed.I have also worked events with executive people of the university and their partners.I co-run an ambassador society where I help with organising events, trips and socials for the student ambassador team. This is to help build on creating a tight-knit, close, well communicated, friendly team of people that then reflect positivity on the events we do and on the ambassador team as a whole. Throughout working with many different people that visit or work for the university, they have given me excellent feedback on what I do as a ambassador for the university.
