I am a senior executive within the sports and entertainment, venue management and major event industries with over two decades of experience in Australia and New Zealand working on domestic and global events.I've worked for the Local Organising Committee or as Venue Manager for Rugby World Cup 2003 and 2011, FIFA Women's World Cup 2023, ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2022, FIFA U-20 World Cup 2015 and Rugby League World Cup 2017.I recently stepped down as Chief Executive of Sky Stadium in Wellington, New Zealand, after ten years where I attracted a significant portfolio of major sports and entertainment events. I sit on the board of Netball New Zealand and until recently Cricket 2021 Limited, the Local Organising Committee for the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2022. I have also sat on the global advisory board of USA-based Sports Entertainment Alliance in Technology (SEAT).I’m a veteran of two Rugby World Cups; RWC 2003 in Australia where I was Head of Marketing, and RWC 2011 in New Zealand where I was General Manager, Marketing and Communications for Rugby New Zealand 2011, the Local Organising Committee. I also served as Deputy CEO for the AFC Asian Cup 2015 prior to returning to Wellington for my current role.I’ve worked as General Manager Marketing for Australian Rugby Union, and as Membership and Direct Marketing Manager for the Sydney Swans Football Club, in Australia's AFL (Aussie Rules).My areas of expertise include:• Major event attraction and delivery • Venue Management• Building and leading teams across functional areas in sports and major events. • Major event strategy development, organisational structure design, project management and delivery.• 6 years experience over two Rugby World Cups including direct responsibility for selling $500m of tickets over both tournaments.• Proven ability to formulate, develop and implement commercial and ticketing programmes for sports teams and major events..• Politically astute both at stakeholder and government levels.     Rugby World Cup was the largest sporting event in the world in 2011. Working for the Local Organising Committee, my role formed part of the four person senior management team. The role had responsibility for five business divisions including ticketing, marketing, media and communications, VIPs and ceremonies/events. The RWC commercial model meant that ticketing was the only source of revenue for the LOC and therefore vitally important. The ticket sales target of $268.5m NZD ($220m USD) was ten times higher than any event ever held in New Zealand. As a member of the senior management team I was key contributor to overall organisation and tournament strategy. I provided leadership to five business divisions with a team totaling 25 staff.
