- Advising on legislation and implementing preventative programs and strategies such as training, policies, and procedures for all work-related risks and workplace hazards- Developing, implementing, reviewing, and monitoring Environmental Health Management plans, Occupational Health and Safety plans, and Health and Safety materials- In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety policies and compliance procedures- Providing training in a variety of courses, including but not limited to EWP, Working at Heights, Gantry Crane, Fire, Isolation, Confined Spaces, and General Health and Safety Training- Ability to set and achieve objectives while working under pressure and meeting deadlines- Proficient in IT, with the ability to learn in-house systems- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy- Extremely well-organized, with strong organizational and time-management skills- Maintaining effective relationships with management, staff, and stakeholders

- Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced- Carry out regular site inspections to ensure policies and procedures are being properly implemented- Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation- Lead in-house training with employees about health and safety issues and risks- Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements- Lead accident and incident investigations, maintain records and produce reports that suggest improvements- Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of the health and safety act- Advise on a range of specialist areas e.g. fire regulations, machinery safeguarding- Ensure equipment is installed and used safely- Positively influence a strong Health and Safety Culture through effective communication and leading by example- Facilitate Health and Safety Committee meetings- Creating and managing team schedules- Evaluating performance and providing feedback as per Key Performance Indicators- Helping to resolve employee issues and disputes
