I had three stress-related heart attacks by the time I turned 29. My health started to collapse, and I couldn’t even get out of bed. I was told I wouldn’t survive to see my next birthday. That’s what happens when you do everything the hard way. And I knew I was going to have to make a change. But let’s back up. I didn’t exactly take the traditional route into my career. Fresh out of college and with no one willing to hire me, I stumbled into a minimum wage gig doing basic data entry for someone who desperately needed help. It was year-end crunch time. The first day, my boss said, "I don’t want you to think. I don’t want you to ask questions. Just hit the keys I tell you to hit." It was $5.25 an hour, and I took it because I needed the money.Fast forward a few weeks, and she was constantly talking about wanting to return to Tennessee from Alaska, where we were dealing with 60-below temperatures. So I did the unthinkable: I bought her business. I had no idea how to run it and drove it straight into the ground. It was a disaster for two years—easily the worst experience of my life, but I turned it around. For nearly 10 years after that, I played the corporate game. The gold-plated name on the door. I thought that’s what success looked like. But I hated it. I despised telling clients, “Congratulations, you made a profit, and now you owe a ton in taxes.” Their faces would drop as they asked, “How am I supposed to pay that?” That didn’t feel good.So about 20 years ago, after two years of severe burnout—I hit a wall. I was told I had maybe six months to live. That was my wake-up call.I realized I was forcing myself into a mold that didn’t fit. Through a spiritual awakening, I discovered that my gift lies in bridging the soul and science of money. I’m a numbers person with all the skills you’d expect from an accountant or CFO. I’m someone who understands the energy of money. I’ve studied subconscious transformation and help people get out of their own way.
