Essential duties:Responsible for complete customer physical infrastructure build-outs (including additions and modifications) and demolition.Follow Cyxtera’s standardized build requirements across all installations.Deliver upon customer’s requirements and specifications per all documentation provided.Procure necessary build materials on a build-by-build basis and also maintain local inventory stock levels.Must be able to run and stage pre-built electrical circuits (non-powered) to deliver power from PDUs to racks/cabinets.Install physical security access systems that operate along with the building security controls.Per local seismic zone requirements will need to seismically brace cabinets to subfloor and reinforce cage infrastructure as necessary.Ensure all environments are built out with proper cooling alignment and hot/cold isle containment configurations per engineering/design team specifications.Perform complete A to Z structured cabling installations from SOW design requirements including all wire management, labelling, and testing.Create and provide installation documentation such as: cable test results, cable run lists, power layouts, and rack elevations.Ensure final build is Quality Assurance (QA) checked against Cyxtera’s standards/best practices.Work closely with Service Delivery and Implementation Teams to meet customer expectations on every build.Install and maintain Data Center cable plant infrastructure from MMRs to underfloor/overhead delivery out to customer environments.Perform and execute installation/de-installation projects that would include the racking and stacking and patching of hardware equipment.Continually work with Site Manager to review progress towards and adherence to financial goals and objectives.Maintain all detailed build documentation and financial information records.Regional travel from site to site will be required as will national travel on occasion.Other duties as assigned.
