I produce, narrate and edit video news releases for online broadcast to promote Army National Guard events and internal communications. I’m also responsible for supporting overall public relations strategy by using social media tools to disseminate the Army Guard’s strategic messaging. Specifically, my duties include shooting b-roll footage, writing and performing voiceovers, conducting on-camera interviews, recording stand-ups, video editing and posting final products to official, Guard-affiliated social media sites.I have earned two Army Commendation Medals, an Air Force Commendation Medal, two Army Achievement Medals and three (recognition) coins from two brigadier (one-star) generals and a sergeant major for the quality of my video products and written content.Click below to see some of my video work supporting the Nevada Guard's diversity initiative.

In addition to providing safe enjoyment of water park attractions and rescuing guests in distress, I diversified my workload with the following collateral duties: -Lifeguard Trainer: Trained and evaluated new lifeguards on guard operations.-In-Service Training Leader: Refreshed junior guards on CPR and first aid skills; taught site-specific rescue techniques and procedures.-I-Greeter: Conducted Typhoon Lagoon’s “magic moment” and answered guests’ questions while supervising lost children.-“Forecast: Typhoon” Facilitator: Led general orientation for all incoming Typhoon Lagoon cast members after Traditions training.-Cruise Driver: Conducted night tours while driving a pontoon boat near the Magic Kingdom and giving Disney history/trivia lessons during fireworks cruises.

I spent four years on active duty as a machine gunner. I provided security for a classified portion of Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego for my first two years. During the second half of my active duty enlistment, I served in the infantry proper at Camp Pendleton.After I left active duty, I joined the Marine reserves and served with a force reconnaissance unit while earning my first degree. I moved laterally from the infantry into administrations where I specialized in retention/reenlistment issues as the career planner. I was honorably discharged as a sergeant.
