Began using Linux in 1999 as a hobby, soon turned into a lifelong obsession that has guided my professional direction. After leaving the Royal Australian Navy, I turned my attention to studying my lifelong passion, Computers and Networking, gaining my first I.T Job halfway through my Advanced Diploma of IT in Melbourne, Australia.After working as an IT Administrator for a few years, and saving, I attended University, and near the end of the Degree, successfully gained employment at Leidos as an Infrastructure engineer and moved to Canberra.I worked as an Infrastructure Engineer and then progressed to the Engineering Linux Subject Matter Expert, for which I worked as for over two years. Amongst many other things, mostly implementing and improving the Linux System images and Deployment system. I was also tasked with Linux consulting to multiple different Projects, Departments and Clients.I then took the position of Infrastructure Manager at the Directorate of Workforce Information at Brindabella Park in the BIS Team, in which I managed, maintained and upgraded their needed systems and software.I am now working at Leidos, in the Chief Technology Officer Team as the Senior Red Hat Enterprise Automation Engineer, implementing automation for the GNU/Linux and RHEL offerings.
