I have run businesses >$1.58B in Revenue per year, managed an org of over 2,500 folks, and have a track record of attracting A-level players to join the teams I build and scale.AWS accomplishments: Established the AWS Asia Pacific business as the 1st employee. Grew the team to >880 folks across 23 different offices in 12 countries while growing the yearly revenue from $8M to $1.58B. Moved from Singapore to Seattle (Amazon HQ) to establish the first AWS specialized sales organization that grew to 1,853 folks over 30 months in that role. Then built the first AWS global field team focused on the AWS Energy (oil and gas and renewables) vertical. Prior to AWS: various Linux/Open Source sales leadership roles in Red Hat, Oracle, CollabNet (startup in San Francisco), and the Linux/open source part of IBM. To compliment the sales/leadership aspects of my career....I am also quite technical. To showcase to the AWS field sales team the importance of knowing the AWS services....I passed the AWS Solution Architect Associate exam. While in Red Hat, I also became a Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
