About Shane Patton

Entering half-time. Started working at 14 doing a paper route and haven't stopped. After paper route, shack manager, bagger, grocery dairy, built database for environmental consulting firm, worked at a political non-profit that uncovered the Whitewater scandal (IYKYK), wrote check printing software for a political polling firm, developed icons for health-related software, Word for Mac phone support, and then 27+ years software development at Microsoft. Some highlights from Microsoft: 6 years running an amazing engineering team that built a bunch of high security, high availability, and globally scaled systems. Lifelong friends from that! Chief Architect of OEM where we digitized the OEM supply chain. Huge software bets tied to Windows 8 release - lots of pressure and politics, but we pulled it off without any post-production war-room activity. Lots more stuff, but those were the really fun ones where you do big things and make lasting bonds in the trenches. Met really amazing folks and had a lot of fun delivering some incredible solutions. Will be interesting to see what's next. :)

Listed skills include Integration, Distributed Systems, Agile Methodologies, Cloud Computing, and 39 others.
