Coordinated Carolina’s military and veteran transition program, collaborated across the university and forged connections with internal and external partners including faculty, graduate & professional schools, corporations, nonprofits, and alumni.✪ Designed, planned, implemented, and assessed an innovative year-long program to support the Student Veteran on-boarding, transition, and success at UNC-Chapel Hill, including a two-day veteran orientation, co-curricular curriculum and community events.✪ Performed outreach to all student veterans offered admittance to Carolina.✪ Coordinated and managed program development, implementation, and outreach in an effort to create a seamless transition to the University for student veterans and increase their access, identification, retention, and success.✪ Identified and organized workshop opportunities for Student Veterans as a result of assessments and research.✪ Maintained comprehensive knowledge of academic programs and regulations at Carolina, to assist in counseling prospective, incoming and current Student Veterans.✪ Advocated for Student Veteran concerns and provide assistance in resolving problems.

The Carolina Student Transfer Excellence Program (C-STEP) is a partnership between the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and community colleges in North Carolina that provides transfer opportunities for talented low and moderate income students.✪ Managed C-STEP applicant pool, completed applications, reviewed applications and made admissions recommendations. ✪ Coordinated meetings, events, and learning experiences for C-STEP students at Carolina and at partner community colleges✪ Developed creative programs to recruit and support prospective C-STEP students who are currently enrolled in high schools and community colleges✪ Provided support for the cohorts on each of the partner campuses✪ Facilitated communications and the ongoing exchange of ideas and resources among C-STEP students at the partner colleges✪ Represents the University at partnered community college and high school visits.
