A Citizen Airman, Shane serves in the United States Air Force Reserve as the Individual Mobilization Augmentee to the Command Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force Reserve Command. In this role, he acts on behalf of the Command Chief in his or her absence as the commander’s primary advisor regarding the welfare, morale, discipline, proper utilization, operational readiness, and war-fighting capability of command’s 70,000 enlisted U.S. Air Force Reserve personnel stationed worldwide.He is also a highly decorated combat search and rescue aircraft aircrew evaluator with over 2,400 flying hours, 1,000+ sorties, including 56 combat sorties. He flawlessly demonstrated the ability to work as a key member of an elite Special Operations team and excel under the highest degree of stress during numerous combat rescue missions while evading surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft engagements in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Iraq, and Africa during Operations JOINT ENDEVOUR, SOUTHERN WATCH, ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.

Shane previously served as the Command Chief Master Sergeant of the 920th Rescue Wing, Patrick Space Force Base, Florida. As the 920th Rescue Wing's highest ranking enlisted member, Shane advised the commander on matters concerning the morale, health, welfare, effective use, training and progress of the more than 1,700 enlisted corps of the 920th, including its geographically separated units; the 943rd Rescue Group, Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona; the 304th Rescue Squadron, Portland International Airport, Oregon; and the 920th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, Joint Base Langley, Eustis, Virginia.

Seizing an opportunity to fill a vital void for the U.S. human spaceflight program while creating jobs for difficult to employ Reservists; Shane, along with two other founders launched Operator Solutions. This first-to-market company delivers unrivaled rescue capability to personnel far beyond the typical first responder’s and Coast Guard’s reach, to areas only reachable by parachute insertion and high-angle of attack, to facilitate terrestrial and open-ocean rescue of citizens in distress, boaters and astronauts with world-class special operators and physicians.

Shane spearheaded National Solar’s efforts to be first-to-market to develop, finance and build numerous large utility-scale solar power facilities in the Southeastern US. Among the many roles he assumed within the company at any given time, he was primarily responsible for leading the project financing activities including but not limited to performing project quantitative analysis, building tax equity monetization structures, leveraged finance models, and drafting deal information memoranda.Most recently, Shane was instrumental in the development and sale of the Imeson Solar (dba SunPort Solar), nine-megawatt (MW) DC solar plus battery energy storage system (BESS) generation facility, in Jacksonville, Florida. 174 Power Global will own and operate the facility, from which the power will be purchased by Jacksonville Electric Authority (JEA) for the next 25 years.
