Directed 5-14 quarries throughout Georgia over a fifteen year period with volumes at times in excess of 11 million tons annually. Other responsibilities included Georgia's Central Services, Mobil Maintenance and Drilling and Blasting teams. Managed directly and or indirectly two District Managers, Ten Plant Mangers, State Mobile Equipment Manager, Central Services Manager, State Drilling and Blasting Manager and over two hundred and fifty hourly employees.• Built a strong team of top performers for operations that consistently led the state in Safety, Cost and Margins. • Successfully balanced the sales and production mix by working closely with sales insuring inventories remained consistent.• Always strived for continuous improvement in all areas with safety being the top priority consistently led the state in safety metrics.• Created and managed annual budgets for all operations, $30 to $55m in total and consistently met or exceeded them.• Generated and managed $5 to $48m in capital projects throughout the area.• Worked closely with mine planning and managed stripping efforts to insure proper reserves were available. • Developed and initiated standards for fixed and mobile equipment that led to increased efficiency.• Adapted and executed a long term operating plan focusing on cost reduction, productivity, pricing strategy and continuous improvement during the economic down turn.• Full responsibility for P&L within my Area.

Responsible for the daily operation of a 5 million ton per year quarry along with inhouse stripping in excess of 500000 yards per year. Managed directly and indirectly one assistant plant manager,four foreman and 80 hourly employees.• The Norcross Quarry was considered the Flag Ship of the company and consistently led the Company and South East Division in Safety, Productivity, Cost and Margins.• Winner of the NSA Large Quarry of the Year in 1998 and 1999, First runner up in 1997.• Safely produced 20 million tons over a four year period operating 22 hours per day with two production shifts.

Responsible for the daily operation of the Lithonia Quarry. Lithonia grew from 600K tons per year to over 1.5 million tons per year over a four year period. With the help of two foreman and 18 hourly employees we guided this quarry from poor productivity and negative margins to one of the company's top performers with an impeccable safety record during this time period.
