Current• Designed and prototyped an N95 facemask for with improved CO2 concentrations and pathogen defense.• Lead a team of 5 engineers through an National Science Foundation I-Corps program for market validation. Continued through the Venture Well E-Team Stage 1, a Lemelson Foundation initiative. From this, lead a team of 4 through the University of Central Florida’s Joust Pitch Competition and ranked in 3rd place.• Managed a team of engineers and scientists to actively move toward milestones, evaluating cost benefit of each milestone, developing contingency plans, and balancing team dynamics to improve overall productivity.• Incorporated as an LLC and was featured in an entrepreneur magazine (Innovate Orlando), shot a small featurette video, and applied for a full US utility patent. • Currently: preparing an SBIR Phase 1, pursuing an international patent, conducting preliminary tests, preparing for pre-clinical tests, creating a website, negotiating with partners, and shifting from a Technology/Manufacturing Readiness Level of 5 to 9 using rapid prototyping techniques & testing.
