Back Pocket is a Tier 2 SEL program for schools, youth organizations and other OST program. The program targets the crucial skill of coping that all teens need in an engaging, hands on workshop format. Kids complete the workshop equipped with tools to help themselves. The program is based on the book, Back Pocket-Tools for Teens to Nurture Their Mental Health. BOOK DESCRIPTION:Almost all kids struggle with their mental health at some point in time, and Back Pocket is designed to offer teens tools to try NOW. Kids may not know what to do or where to turn when their mental health is affecting them. This book provides easy strategies through which to “help yourself.” Most of the tools can be utilized in the moment, so dig in!

Assist teens in keeping up with their school work.Make sure IEP goals are being met while participating in treatment. Communicate with patient's school for the easiest transition back to school.

My role at Agape Ranch is to connect kids with the ranch and assist with programming and activities.

In 6 months we provided over 100 kids with hands on, engaging, feel good volunteer opportunities throughout Dane County. Some of these opportunities included: •assembling and distributing supplies to the homeless community•weekly tutoring with the child residents at a local homeless housing unit•giving phone tutorials to the Middleton Senior Center residents•bowling outings with local kids with Special Needs•passing out Halloween candy at downtown Middleton businesses•Feed My Starving Children•errands, check ins and yard work for seniors during the pandemic•assisting at events for the Cars Curing Kids organization•making and providing supplies to MOM food pantry and Ronald McDonald House•and more!Our mission at Bridge was "Helping yourself by helping others" and was directly targeting teen mental health.
