I graduated from the University of Hartford in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, with a minor in Criminal Justice. During my undergraduate career, I was a member of various leadership cohorts (e.g., The Women's Advancement Initiative, Leadership Greater Hartford). After graduation, I worked as a Community Support Specialist and Residental Assistant for Continuum of Care which served state-supported individuals who received a diagnosis of a severe mental illness. After spending a year in the field and a push from a friend, I decided to pursue my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I am currently a Doctoral Candidate and have had training in college settings and community mental health. I also have experience with an outreach program to advocate for mental health within underserved minority communities. In all, I am a highly motivated individual who is able to support and motivate individuals to achieve optimal well-being. I have learned how to accept challenges and provide safe spaces for individuals who may not have support elsewhere. Additionally, I have developed many different advocacy skills and the ability to work in team settings.
