An extremely driven and energetic social worker dedicated to providing quality, person-centred care. My academic, professional, and lived experiences have allowed me to amass various knowledge and develop valuable competencies when supporting and interacting with diverse individuals (i.e. black, immigrant, racialized, living with mental illness, justice-involved & those impacted by violence). I have not only become adept in establishing communication and maintaining positive therapeutic relationships with various communities, but also in the provision of culturally appropriate and trauma-informed care. I am dedicated to participating in opportunities that not only address the various determinants impeding marginalized communities’ physical, mental and social wellbeing but also hold the intention of working to improve the systems that impact the psychosocial functioning of our city's most vulnerable, and their overall ability to achieve positive health outcomes.
