I am currently programming entrepreneurship education and experiential learning into the curricula at The University of Virginia at Wise, USA while developing programs to cultivate and nurture the spirit of small business, social and technology entrepreneurship in South Western Virginia, USA. My dual role requires me to alternate between the forest view and the tree view, both of which provide rich insights that enable me to partner public institutions, business stakeholders and local communities to leverage their resources to build impactful and sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystems. My research interests emanate from my experiences and are at the intersection of entrepreneurship, strategy and human resources. I received a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship from The University of Louisville, USA and two MBAs from The University of Utah, USA and The Goa Institute of Management, India. I also received two Masters Degrees (MAs) in History and Sociology from The University of Mumbai, India. I had the opportunity to work and consult internationally, predominantly in the USA and India. I implemented solutions in multiple functions and at all levels of management in nascent, small and large entrepreneurial organizations, representing various industry sectors including, but not limited to Internet-based technology, banking, retail, IT, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, foods, chemicals, and entertainment.My transition to academia gives me an opportunity to utilize my 20 years of leadership experience in management consulting (strategy-human resources-operations), technology commercialization, economic development, product marketing and executive training and coaching (workshops-seminars-retreats-counseling sessions) and 7 years of university teaching related experiences primarily in the areas of entrepreneurship, strategy and management.If my summary has struck a chord, then let's connect.
