Was responsible for establishing the coverage of US credit markets from scratch after the departure of an old team to a rival news service. Managed a large team, edited stories from around the region, and wrote exclusive stories in collaboration with other reporters. Trained new reporters and also involved in helping the sales and marketing effort.- Managed team of 12 journalists and analysts covering the US high-grade, high-yield, structured finance and Latin American bond markets. The team included a group of data analysts who were trained and managed by me- Was the architect of the US high-grade close, US high-yield and structured finance close reports that were again the first such reports that featured technical valuations of bonds in a simple-to-read format. It was highly appreciated by a number of top investment bankers and became a must-read item.- Created the US FIG daily briefing that was a very popular product. It inspired the creation of the Global FIG briefing that is now a successful product marketed and sold by IFR- Was one of the key decision makers for the prestigious IFR Awards in London. Was instrumental in creating a new award category called US Bond House that rewarded banks for their overall performance across asset classes which was highly appreciated.- Rewarded with several promotions and added responsibilities in a short period. Relocated to New York from Singapore as US investment grade editor in April 2012 and was promoted to US Credit Editor on April 2013.

Responsible for editing, writing, managing and publication of the IFR Asia magazine in Asia. The only journalist to have covered, while as a senior reporter, Singapore’s structured finance and syndicated loans market along with Australian interest rates swaps, structured finance, syndicated loans and corporate bonds market., and Japan’s syndicated loans market. Won internal awards for best reporting and also recognized as a high-potential performer by Thomson Reuters management. Also got promoted several times and given number of responsibilities that included training, editing and writing across asset classes in Asia. - Only reporter to write two books on Indian financial markets that had close to 13 chapters and interviews of the top economists, bankers and the Indian Finance Minister. - Promoted several times with the last position held as Deputy Editor and Editor of Equities in Asia. Wrote a number of exclusive and breaking news stories which were appreciated internally and externally. - Also involved in production of IFR Asia magazine and was one of the key decision makers for prestigious IFR Asia and IFR awards

Was relocated from Mumbai to head up a team of reporters who were covering the Singapore bond, forex and equity markets. Wrote several exclusive stories during my time at Bridge. Also helped in managing reporters across the SE Asia region.

Covered a variety of topics at Bridge News including foreign exchange, forwards, money markets, government bonds and led a team of reporters who were covering everything from equities, bonds, forex to general corporate news. Helped set up an around 100-member team from just two or three at the time of joining.

Joined the desk as a sub-editor in FE and then became a reporter-cum-sub editor before becoming a full time reporter. I was promoted to a senior correspondent role after about six months of joining. My coverage areas were mainly news related to Indian corporates, secondary and primary equities and regulations. Wrote several exclusive and scoops during the time.

Started off as a trainee journalist and was involved in editing and laying out news pages for the daily newspaper. Also got involved in writing news stories covering a range of topics which included crime stories, sports and business news.
