Primarily assists with the administration and oversight of Lakewood's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Evaluating financial, programmatic, development/acquisition feasibility and community impact of housing and community development proposals; and ensuring compliance with federal regulations and program policies associated with CDBG and other related tasks. Collaborates with County leaders on initiatives aimed to assist and combat homelessness within Jefferson County. Provides general support to the 40 West ArtLine and directs annual pedestrian and bicyclists counts along the 40 West ArtLine to evaluate trail usage and collect data for future grants and infrastructure improvements.

As an intern, I assisted the Development Assistance Planning team in special projects, including zoning code analysis and researching background materials to recommend solutions to problem areas and zoning amendments. Zoning topics included: implementing the voter-approved Residential Growth Limitation into the land development process, parking, small cell design guidelines, and small lot zone districts. Other duties included single family permit review, fence and sign permits, zoning verification letters, and sales and use tax businesses license review.

As a research assistant, I primarily assisted in the development of survey materials and pilot of the implementation plan for the Immigration Integration Project, which was a multidisciplinary research effort with CU Denver's Sociology and Urban Planning departments. The goal of this project was to measure how immigrants perceive their social, legal, and spatial worlds in terms of spatial concentration, walkability, transit access, and public spaces that might shape patterns and perceptions of inclusion among immigrants.

Worked as a VISTA volunteer for Boulder Housing Partners to build capacity for the Resident Services department. In this role, I created and enhanced existing tracking systems for service coordinators to devote more time to direct support for low-income residents. Built and implemented a health and wellness survey to gauge resident feedback for onsite programs and to access overall health needs of our residents; ultimately to understand how new programming can continue to fill in the gaps. Took written training manuals and designed multiple on-boarding courses using Yardi eLearning and Camtasia to create a more interactive learning environment for new hires.
