I gained experience in general prosthetic and orthotic care, as well as cranial helmets. I had the opportunity to assist with a hip disarticulation patient through the casting, fabrication, fitting, and aligning process. I also had the unique opportunity to observe an Ertl amputation surgery.

During my first residency rotation, I gained valuable experience working with lower limb amputees. I was able to participate in several aspects of prosthetic rehabilitation including post-operative management, patient initial evaluation, documentation, fabrication, fitting, delivery, and follow-up appointments. I also gained experience using OPIE software.
