Hi I’m Shannon, an ambitious first-class Criminology graduate. Here’s my story…🕵🏻 I’ve been fascinated with anything crime/psychology related since I was young, this includes watching endless documentaries about serial killers, crime dramas and all that good stuff!🌏 After I completed my A-Levels, I took a year out to explore the world. I travelled throughout Asia, Australia, New Zealand and various places in America for 6 months.👩🏻‍🎓 When I returned, I moved to Bristol and started my degree in Criminology so I could pursue my passion for understanding human behaviour in the context of crime. After 3 years of studying, working part-time and balancing a social life I achieved a first-class with honours!🧒🏽 After graduating, I worked in a psychiatric intensive care unit for children and adolescents with mental health issues. I did this for a year and found it so rewarding. I also absolutely loved working with children!👮🏻‍♀️ I am now currently working in the Police as an investigator. I speak to victims, witnesses and suspects on a daily basis and I review and explore other areas that could be evidentially relevant. ✨ I am delighted to have been offered a place on Step Up to Social Work that starts in January 2022. This funded programme will allow me to qualify as a registered social worker within 14 months. I’m super excited to delve back into education and gain more skills and experience!
