Sleep Services

• Assures comprehensive evaluation and treatment of patients with sleep disorders including in-lab sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, patient care, and patient education. • Developed a Sleep Lab policy and procedure manual in accordance with established policies and train all staff on each policy, procedure and system, including Cadwell system.• Gained valuable exposure to human resources areas including employee recruitment and retention, staff development, mediation, conflict resolution, records management, and policy development. • Coordinate the day-to-day patient services and acts as the liaison for the patient, staff, administration, referring physicians and sleep center activities.• Responsible for insurance authorizations, specializing in Medicare, Medicaid plans • Maintain equipment in proper working order; troubleshoots problems, and monitors supply inventory • Assist the medical director and/or manager in all aspects of sleep center operations.• Supports, encourages, develops, and oversees Sleep Lab personnel; and coordinates staff coverage for all shifts.• Increased lab efficiency by confirming patient appointments which reduced the number of no shows drastically • Collaborate with Physician to monitor the quality of care and conduct quality improvement efforts. And overall patient compliance• Provide in-service and skills competencies for staff including scoring studies, patient care, troubleshooting, and patient education. • Complete accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data.• Monitor patient and document routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events, changes in procedure, and other significant events in order to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results.
