• Work within the Sourcing organization on Training and Professional Development• Assess trainings, work with Subject Matter Experts to make training more effective and efficient, by incorporating different learning styles, including more interaction, and designing lessons that are more relevant to learners• Coordinate all training within my organization of 120+ people, including onboarding new employees

• Teacher (2009-2012); taught middle school English and Math at Concordia Creative Learning Academy, a diverse charter school in St. Paul, MN, in which 85% of the student population lives below the poverty line; designed lessons and enrichment activities for students, most of whom started 2-3 years below grade level• Middle School Lead (2010-2012); worked directly under executive leadership; lead the staff in team meetings, acted as teacher-coach for middle school, and acted as the communication liaison between teachers, parents, and administration• After two years of teaching, my students’ test scores on the state Reading exams improved from 60% to 81% proficient, outperforming average Minnesota students from non-low-income schools; as a result, CCLA was named one of the top “Closing the Gap” schools in the state and #1 in the State for Reading Proficiency in a low-income community (2011)

• Selected to teach English to Japanese students in Yamaga, Japan in JET (Japanese Exchange in Teaching) Programme; collaborated with Japanese teachers to create lesson plans, organize group activities, and develop students’ interests and abilities in English through cross-cultural activities• Coordinated a weekly English conversation class for local adults looking to practice English conversation skills and coordinated different community events and activities• Worked as an orientation speaker and trainer for incoming teachers and volunteered through a support group calling service for foreign teachers as well
