As Chief Executive Officer, I am accountable for providing leadership, strategic direction and vision for the development and achievement of the organization's mission in partnership with the Council's board of directors. In addition, I direct the Council's day-to-day operations through the senior management team. I am responsible for stewardship of the Council's human, material and fiscal assets and provide oversight for policies and practices that affect members, staff and volunteers. As CEO, I play a crucial role, in conjunction with the board of directors, in risk management and mitigation covering girl and adult members’ physical risk, financial and business operational risk and brand risk. In addition, I am responsible for developing and implementing a communications strategy that enhances the image of the Council and effectively reaches out to the diverse population of the Council's jurisdiction. I also play a key role in planning, managing and implementing program, revenue and fund development initiatives of the Council.
