Founded Kettering+ Planning and Facilitation, LLC in 2023 - a consultant firm offering planning solutions and community engagement practices utilizing an iterative, people-focused approach to empower communities and organizations to make decisions that impact their quality of life. I believe strongly in the art of facilitation as an effective format for expressing opinions, guiding discourse and developing alternative solutions, in order for my clients to progress successfully.Competence and excellence in providing award-winning sustainable design, community planning consulting and public facilitation for over two decades for local governments, state agencies, regional planning commissions, and non profits throughout the Southeast.From working in both the private and nonprofit sectors, I have conducted hundreds of hours of community engagement- from 10- 300+ attendees- and am fluent in a variety of facilitation techniques designed to be inclusive, informative and engaging. Shifted gears from private practice and was the founding Executive Director for Chattahoochee NOW, a not for profit dedicated to realizing the potential of the Chattahoochee River for improved quality of life along a 53-mile stretch within metropolitan Atlanta. In this role, I provided organizational development, strategic planning, board of directors development, project management, partnership identification, relationship-building and public engagement.- Certified as a Charrette Facilitator by the National Charrette Institute (NCI) - Certified Planner from the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP)- Registered Landscape Architect, State of Georgia (RLA)
