I am a Software Engineer applying the skills I've gained from my background of over 5 years of physics research experience towards my career in software engineering. During my time as a software engineer, I've become proficient in frontend (ReactJS) and backend developing (Ruby on Rails) with a small preference towards work on the frontend.Throughout my career, I have contributed to multiple experiments including MiniCAPTAIN, SBND, and the DUNE 35-ton prototype and have gained a wide variety of skills through my experiences with coding, simulations, data analysis, debugging, and electronics. My background in physics has helped me to develop an ability to solve challenging problems and my vast amount of research experiences demonstrate my capability to quickly learn new skill sets.I highly value working with folk with different backgrounds, learning styles, and approaches to solving problems; I think that these sort of diverse teams are capable of coming up with the most profound solutions and helping each other expand their individual skillsets. Along with this, I also highly value empathy, respect, and communication when working with others.I have a passion for puzzles, problem-solving, and coding. I yearn to be challenged and work on interesting projects.
