My experience as a Paralegal is in family law. I initiate court actions for dissolutions, contempt, child custody, and modification cases as well as prepare pleadings and correspondence. I schedule court dates and mark short calendar motions, inventory discovery exchanged between parties, and prepare Tax Conveyance, Quitclaim, and Income Withholding forms.Other tasks include answering client and prospective client phone calls, complete phone intakes and schedule consultations and I maintain a list of consultations, if/when they retain, compare statistics to previous points in time and submit monthly reports on retained clients.I have software proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Lexis Nexis, Family Law Software, Practice Master, Tabs 3, and Egnyte.

As a Domestic Violence Advocate and Shelter Case Manager, I supported victims of Domestic Violence grow through connecting them to the resources needed to start a new life as well as offer Domestic Violence counseling. Counseling focused on the cycle of abuse, understanding red flags of abuse, understanding feelings of hurt, anger, and sadness as well as working on self-esteem and planning for the future. I emotionally supported women and children as they endured court proceedings both criminal and civil.
