About Shannon Merrill

My current position in the mortgage industry is in Quality Control as AVP of Quality Assurance and Credit Risk. My experience is very diverse. I have been in Underwriting, Origination, Sold Real Estate, Owned a small Mortgage Broker business for 10 years. I have held multiple management/leadership positions. When the mortgage business was stalled in 2008, I became a branch manager for a retail bank for a few years. I am able to adapt to change and my experience allows me insight others may not see. Being in Quality Control is very rewarding and challenging. We audit all loans - FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA, FHLMC. I manage defect rates of the retail and correspondent division to maintain acceptable threshold levels with all. This has been a very rewarding experience.
