I am currently the charge RN in a busy recovery room and my responsibilities include but are not limited to, coordinating nursing care for many different types of surgical patients, helping my fellow nurses when problems arise, ordering all of the narcotics for the facility, helping coordinate meetings and running drills, and going through assessments for the new hires. Also, I am responsible for coordinating after care for my patients and getting their home medications ready for them so their transition from surgery to home is as easy as possible for them.
