About Shannon Pentell

I’m the Director of Accounting & Payroll for Sound Income Group (Advisors' Academy, Sound Income Strategies, Retirement Income Source, Advisors Academy Air) as well as Scranton Financial Group and S.A.F.E. Advisors' Academy is an IMO designed to help financial advisors across the country achieve quantum leaps in their business while helping their new and existing clients grow and protect their hard-earned money. Sound Income Strategies was founded as a Registered Investment Advisory firm and is fully licensed and accredited by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The Retirement Income Store is a national network of Income Specialists with the common goal of helping retirees and pre-retirees reduce their exposure to stock market risk, so they can use their retirement savings to establish ongoing streams of income for retirement. Scranton Financial Group is a financial firm that teaches clients how to enjoy reliable portfolio growth and security through conservative investment options designed to generate income through interest & dividends. Scranton Academy for Financial Education (S.A.F.E.) is dedicated to providing no-cost financial education as a public service, comprised of a network of qualified financial professionals who volunteer their time as financial educators. I am responsible for the accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll aspects of all businesses, as well as handling all commissions, taxes, benefits, etc. Before moving into this role, I managed all the marketing, event planning, and marketing compliance for our Connecticut office for one year. Before joining Advisors’ Academy in 2011, for more than 8 years I worked for a PEO firm in Florida - Employee Leasing Solutions, Inc – where I was responsible for providing payroll administration, taxes, government compliance, employee benefits, and benefits services tailored for the construction industry. I managed all courier routes and the payroll execution for more than 100 companies and over 500 employees. Unfortunately, this company is no longer in business as it was sold in 2012.I’m truly passionate about my work, and while I enjoy all aspects of my job, I am pleased to join with my co-workers and the business owners to understand their business objectives and manage profitability with strategic planning. Collaboration is a means to success!I am currently taking accounting courses to further my education in addition to completing my CPA. I have previously studied Payroll Law, Employment Law, and HR Law. I am a QuickBooks Certified Pro Advisor and a CT Notary Public.
