In this role I taught and guided participants in activities such as hiking, climbing and kayaking. (Kayaking was as an assist not as a lead instructor). I had a focus on healthy and safety, team building, and environmental education.My responsibilities included fostering personal development, keeping tamariki safe and having FUN!

Guthrie Smith Arboretum is incredibly special and is mapped using ArcGIS. ArcGIS Online is a cloud-based mapping and analysis solution. It is Used to make maps, analyze data, and to share/collaborate. I would enter new trees, edit tracks, adjust location points, and upload damage logs from cyclone gabrielle. Essentially any changes that occured in the arboretum during this time, I would help see to.

There was a large admin and personal assistant component and feeling to this role which I loved.

I have completed a variety of jobs for adventureworks, I am able to take groups up high ropes, teach adventure based learning activities such as teamwork, communication, problem solving and leadership in on ground exercises, I am able to mark students on multiple unit standards we offer to high schools and I am able to complete some of their basic admin tasks. This position has been extremely rewarding, watching individuals grow, challenge themselves and achieve their goals.
