Managed the client membership account agreements and operational departments of a recreational facility in the high-risk sporting industry. Plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate Citywide medium to large scale special events in our parks and recreation centers. Recruit and coordinate food vendors, exhibitors and entertainment within specified budgets for each of 15 - 20 annual events. Act as a liaison for season and event sponsors to ensure their event day needs and expectations are met. Identify needed equipment and services and negotiate contracts for these products and services while staying within budget. Follow established procedures to ensure proper payment of invoices and contracts. Provide accurate reporting for events revenue, expenditures and costs avoided through use of donated products, volunteer services and discounts received. Research and recommend new ideas and resources/sponsors for Citywide special events. Must provide manual labor for event set up and break down. Conduct evaluation of each event and make recommendations for the upcoming year. Maintain inventory of special event equipment and supplies. Assume lead role in at least 5 events each year and assist other staff with the rest of the events. Submit requested documentation and input for budget preparation, goals and objectives to assure proper funding and planning of programs and events. Assume duties in the absence of a supervisor to provide consistency in program delivery. Supervise part time staff and volunteers setting and communicating clear expectations. Ensure each event maintains a safe environment.

Worked and coordinated with city agencies and local businesses to obtain permits, acquire equipment including mobile stages, bleachers, port-a-johns, tents, golf carts, light towers, hire entertainment, and secure exhibitors and vendors, This included the following key city events/programs:2012 Earth Day Food Vendor Coordinator; created and distributed Food Vendor applications, handled the collection of all fees, mandatory paperwork; including liability insurance, food menus, etc. to meet all City of Virginia Beach risk management regulations.2011 and 2012 Santa’s Stocking Assistant Coordinator; Assisted in creating a new and comprehensive Vendor Application, Liaison with 300 vendors, created and implemented a process that provided an efficient and smooth event.
