I am an organizer focused on building worker power with any and all employees of Alphabet and Google at AWU-CWA Local 9009. I believe the key to winning is to combine workplace organizing, issue campaigning, and legislative political organizing. As an organizer for AWU, I have led and won campaigns to reinstate 8 AI raters at Appen, secured hundreds of thousands of dollars in backpay and won raises for data center technicians at Google Data Centers nationwide, and reversed a termination for a data center worker in South Carolina.During my time as a volunteer policy advisor for Tech Equity collaborative, I joined a coalition that successfully moved 3 bills to Governor Newsom's desk in California and am currently working on a fourth. I aim to align AWU's legislative priorities with workplace mobilization in order to pressure public servants to represent the interest of the working class.As a Historian in the Modern Middle East, I studied and published original research on Social and Global History at the intersection of Tourism and Colonialism in Egypt.
