I was born and raised in small town North Dakota and have lived in Oregon for 10 years. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 2000 from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota. After working in outpatient therapy for Novacare in Monticello, MN, I moved to Oregon, and two months later began working for Providence Health and Services. I started working at Providence in 2003 completing a mentorship in hand therapy and continuing 10 years of service with them specializing in treatment of hand injuries. Skills obtained while working over the past 21 years include specializing in splinting, delta cast application, and treating patients with persistent pain, repetitive stress disorders, fractures, arthritis and trauma. I also have experience in acute care with Legacy Health System, skilled nursing and pediatrics, specifically sensory integration. I became a staff therapist with Sanders Hand Therapy in August 2013 with the goal of providing more individualized care in an environment that supports increasing function in patients with hand injuries.In May 2015 received my certification in Hand Therapy from Hand Therapy Certification Commission. Now a CHT.
