My main objective during this year was to create an environment that enabled these amazing and brilliant young athletes to see their full potential, and give them the tools, and encouragement to go after that potential. This is done through the creation of genuine relationships through the love of Jesus. Developed genuine relationships with 35 professional and student athletes within the Johannesburg and Pretoria region in order to mentor them into leaders of their local and professional communities. Developed and administered weekly athlete bible studies, encouraging athlete leadership and participation.Individually met with each athlete I was mentoring once a week in order to encourage and uplift them, and challenge them to take leadership steps within their communities. Planned and implemented outreach events to serve with the athletes in the Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Pretoria communities. Reached over 1,000 individuals through outreach. Developed Athletes in Action South Africa's Social Media Platforms: Facebook and Instagram to create community awareness and athlete participation.
