I am a health and safety professional who has held health and safety centric roles at all levels, within a wide range of organisations, for over 20 years.I have worked in many industries including civil construction, commercial construction, residential building, roading construction and maintenance, water and wastewater treatment, telecommunications, manufacturing, engineering, healthcare, retail and events.I have experience in strategic planning as part of larger organisations with a particular focus on safety, quality and training. I own and operate two health and safety consultancy businesses and am experienced in financial management, business planning, client management and marketing.I am focused on my continuous learning/development in leadership/governance, and am currently completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) through the University of Canterbury. I also hold a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health from Massey University.I am the recipient of the Institute of Directors New Zealand (IoD) First Steps in Governance Award, and have held internship roles on two reputable not for profit boards.I am a member of the Institute of Directors New Zealand (IoD), New Zealand Institute of Safety Management (NZISM) – Professional status, Health and Safety Association of New Zealand (HASANZ) – Registered Health and Safety Professional. I am also an accredited SafePlus assessor.
