As a Geography Teacher at Jordan School District, I inspire students to learn about the world and its diverse cultures, environments, and issues. I use GIS tools and methods to enhance their spatial thinking and problem-solving skills, and to help them understand the connections between human and natural systems. I also collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement interdisciplinary curricula and projects that align with the state standards and the school's vision.I am pursuing a master's degree in Global Technology and Development and Applied International Sustainability at ASU, where I am learning how to apply sustainability principles and practices to various contexts in economic, political, and social sectors. I am interested in sustainability consulting, environmental management systems, and community master planning, as I believe these are effective ways to create positive social and environmental impacts. I am passionate about smart growth, walkability, urban design, and economic stability, and I want to use my knowledge and skills to contribute to a healthier, thriving, and beautiful world.
