I have always been introspective and passionate about using my thoughts and mental processes to optimize my behaviors. Taking control of my thoughts and actions has allowed me to take control of my life and how I react to obstacles that come up. This lead me to my focus in college where I majored in psychology and minored in philosophy. helping people understand themselves and their patterns more in order for them to achieve autonomy and control over their life is my greatest aspiration. After working an internship at Newport Mental Health I was tasked with collecting data on the patients there to see where improvements can be made in treatments. Speaking with these patients and gaining insight into their experience solidified my call to this field, as I would learn much more from them than the answers needed for the survey. My background in philosophy has given me great critical thinking skills, allowing me to see deeper meanings and look at things from a broader perspective which has made me a creative problem solver.
