Manage Conference and Meetings Team to execute successful meetings and conferences throughout the year.

Manage the National Conference Exhibit Floor. Execute mulitple small to mid-size meetings around the country. Collaborate on marketing, sponsorship and educational opportunities.

Responsible for planning and managing all aspects of IAFC conferences for 400 to 15,000 attendees. Meeting planning functions include: negotiating, reviewing and approving contracts with hotels for room blocks, food and beverage, transportation, comp rooms, etc. and with other service contractors; creating of requests for proposal (RFP) for various services; working with various convention/visitors bureaus; creating of special events including all details - décor, entertainment, food & beverage planning; coordinating the design and production of promotional brochures and on-site programs; identifying and contracting with conference speakers; developing course descriptions and integrating educational content into the conference schedule; producing function sheets for room scheduling, setup and A/V requirements; acting as a staff liaison to relevant IAFC committees and sections; works as a member of a team to develop and coordinate the marketing plans for conferences/meetings

Develop and implement strategic marketing plans for NVTC Programs including internal events, external event partnerships and the sale of $1.5 million in sponsorships. Develop, manage, and oversee event and department budgets. Increased department net profits by decreasing expenses $300,000 during FY03. Manage and direct 125 events per year ranging in size from 50-1,000 attendees, including banquets, golf tournaments, awards programs, legislative receptions, and educational meetings. Create and design themes, décor, and event collateral materials to include logos, brochures, programs, and audio visual presentations. Craft speeches, presentations, and all print materials relating to events including marketing brochures, event materials, and sponsorship brochures. Coordinate media relations strategies to include attracting media to events and press kit development. Design event Web site and electronic registration procedures. Manage and develop skills of three staff members.
