Profile bio

About Shannon Egan

I'm a certified leadership coach with a background in corporate finance and data analytics. I believe that a company’s employee experience can create the ultimate win-win-win: favorable business outcomes, top-rated customer experiences, and increased employee fulfillment. Before becoming a certified coach, I spent nearly ten years working in financial roles in the corporate hospitality industry. During this time, I met some incredibly talented people and gained valuable analytical skills. But deep down, I also felt unfulfilled and struggled to truly engage with my work.In 2014, I relocated to Miami and became a recruiter. Back then, I thought that external changes (new city, new industry, new job) were the key to career fulfillment. When the initial excitement faded and I found myself feeling even more stuck, I hired a coach. Our sessions helped me develop deeper self-awareness including how to better manage my energy, lean into my strengths, and expand my view of what was possible. After experiencing the life-changing impact of coaching, I left recruiting and became a Certified Professional Coach in 2015. For the last 8 years, I've partnered with organizations to help leaders at every level step into their full potential using tools like the Energy Leadership™ Index (ELI) assessment and Positive Intelligence.I've also held various leadership roles with The Junior League of Miami, a volunteer-run organization focused on advancement of women’s leadership and community impact. Most recently, I served as the Executive Vice President where I led our Executive Management Team to execute against our strategic and annual plans on behalf of our nearly 600 members. Running my coaching practice has given me the opportunity to coach incredibly talented individuals and experience my own growth — both personally and professionally. One of my key learnings is that I do my best work when I’m in a people-focused leadership role and part of a cohesive, engaged team with a powerful purpose. My natural strengths include easily connecting with others and developing close, trusting partnerships where I serve as an advisor who can deeply understand the needs of others and leverage my curiosity to creatively solve problems. As I look ahead to the next chapter of my career, I'm excited to join a people-first company and work collaboratively with other leaders to create a best-in-class employee experience that drives positive business outcomes, creates meaningful customer experiences, and helps people feel more fulfilled at work.

My favorite part of being a coach is the coaching sessions that I get to have with my clients. I love using the Core Energy Coaching process and tools like the Energy Leadership™ Index (ELI) assessment and Positive Intelligence to help leaders at every level increase their impact, step into their full potential, and connect with their deeper purpose.Being a coach has helped me find greater meaning in my work and lean into my strengths, specifically my ability to connect with individuals from various backgrounds, create positive change, and foster personal and professional growth. With nearly 700 coaching hours completed, my diverse clients encompass sales and product leaders in fast-growing startups, managers in publicly traded companies, entrepreneurs, and local nonprofit leaders. The one quality that unites them all is their desire to understand themselves at a deeper level so that they can show up more authentically and increase their fulfillment. In addition to individual and small group coaching, I’ve developed and facilitated group workshops (5 to 60 attendees) for organizations such as Royal Caribbean, Jones Lang LaSalle, Kluger Kaplan, Bilzin Sumberg, Strategies For Wealth, International Coaching Federation of South Florida, Junior League of Miami, Our Money Matters, Leading Peers, and others.Workshops topics include: career fulfillment, company culture, Energy Leadership™, Positive Intelligence, confident communication, goal setting, marketing mindset, and more.

Entrepreneurship often brings isolation and a longing for a true sense of belonging. Additionally, it can be difficult to consistently produce productive and profitable results when you’re a solopreneur. At The Biz Sisterhood, we helped fill this void by offering our clients a robust support system in the form of one-on-one coaching and engaging monthly Mastermind workshops, focused specifically on productivity, time blocking, and overcoming overwhelm to prioritize and take action on strategic business goals. I co-founded The Biz Sisterhood with my dear friend and fellow certified coach, Inés Battistini. Together, we empowered women to pursue their dreams and create a meaningful impact, all while being kinder to themselves.
