I have such an amazing job at the Rangeland Trust! I’ve learned in previous jobs that the most effective conservation efforts are when you engage with the people who are the direct stewards of the land and wildlife you want to help. Here in California, you can’t get much better than Ranchers. The people I work with are passionate about the land, care about their livestock, and take their responsibility for the natural resources on their ranches very seriously. Through the Rangeland Trust, I am part of helping them achieve personal, family, and business goals in conserving their lands, connecting them to financial resources, and building a community of like-minded cowboy conservationists. Meanwhile, we are building bridges between urban and rural communities while helping to improve California’s climate resilience. Oakland, Ca

It was such an honor to work at the Oakland Zoo, where I was inspired every day by my colleagues and their dedication to animal welfare both onsite and around the world. In managing the campaign to build the California Trail, a new exhibit that features native California species, I helped them each to enhance their conservation messaging and practices by ensuring we can build a state of the art experience for both the animals and our visitors. I contributed to this new legacy for the Bay Area region by designing new communications pathways for the Zoo, developing systems to better steward investments from the Zoo family and surrounding community, and working with staff and leadership to take bigger leaps in fund development and long-term planning.

At CCA, I worked to identify and secure new sources for support and collaboration with the CCA community, thereby helping to expand the horizon for innovation within the arts and design fields. Such innovation is driven forward by the ability to bring together leading professionals to explore the future of fine art, craft, architecture, and design; to engage the public in creative and enriching activities; and to provide for promising low-income students from around the world to come together in the classroom and be inspired by the wealth of environmental, cultural and intellectual stimuli within the San Francisco Bay Area.

When living in the City of New York, I can't imagine a better place to be than in the heart of the design and building industry! At the AIA, I was able to flex my networking muscles and help emerging and established architects from around the world to bring their innovative design approaches to both the professional community of New York City and its public. The opportunity to help drive communication between these often opposing realms and finding more common ground on which to generate constructive dialog was highly rewarding.

I launched my fundraising career at the Yale University Art Gallery in event coordination, major donor cultivation, Board relationships, and grant writing. At the time, I had just returned from a summer internship in museum education at a municipal gallery and historic site with poor public support. I experienced first hand the need for an intermediary between arts and education practitioners and those holding the resources that can bring their programs to life. I found what I was looking for in Development, and haven't looked back since!
