Researching, through Focus Groups and Physical Interactions with students, what they need from the VU to support and increase their resilience & how the VU can best provide for those needs and wishes. On this project, I work with an amazing team consisting of Prof. Leonore de Wit (Associate Professor at the Faculty of Behavioral and Movement Sciences at the VU), Erika van Es (Project Manager at Mood Lift), Yvonne Klimmert (Msc. Clinical Psychology Student) and Reint van der Torn (Msc. Science Clinical Psychology Student).

In this role I have the pleasure of assisting our psychologists all across the country in providing the best mental health care for our clients. Together with my lovely team at the secretariat, I form the bridge between clients and psychologists: aiding and advising them, scheduling in appointments and helping out where needed to make the treatment plan a smooth experience for our clients.

In this position, my main effort went into making guests feel appreciated, cared for and comforted, while also abiding to the core values of Renaissance.I aimed to provide efficient service to guests, to keep the work floor neat and tidy and to support my colleagues in their tasks.

In this role I was mainly responsible for the roles related to my function as Secretary of the 75th Board of the VSPVU (Vereniging Studenten Psychologie en Pedagogiek aan de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam). This included: being mainly responsible for organising the mailbox and being in contact with external parties within the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, transcribing all internal meetings.Aside from that I was the contact person of 4 committees: the Bookselling Committee, Lectures & Excursions Committee, Pedagogical Committee and Lustrum Committee. I attended committee meetings and was the informant here, to make sure that things happened conform the VSPVU way. Afterwards, I would discuss with my fellow board members to update on what has been going on within these committees.Additionally, I took up the role of being mainly in contact with external companies related to the field of Psychology and Pedagogical Sciences.Finally, together with my board members, I was responsible for planning events for VSPVU members and coordinating events organised by the committees of which I was the contact person.This role has taught me responsibility, how to take initiative and how to stand my ground.

Within this role, my main tasks consisted of steering, supporting and motivating my committee (team) members in the organization of social activities for Psychology and Pedagogical Sciences students at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU). The COVID-19 pandemic with its additional lockdown posed as a challenge for many, including my team. Suddenly, I was faced with the challenge of practicing leadership skills in an online environment, over platforms such as ZOOM, to organize now online, instead of in-person, activities. Luckily, we managed to pull this off to the extent that regulations and possibilities allowed us to.I am very grateful to have been able to have this experience with amazing and supportive people.

Within this role, I was responsible for the promotional material for events organized by the Activity Committee of the Vereniging voor Studenten Psychologie en Pedagogie aan de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VSPVU).This entailed: creating posters, promotional texts, promotion schedules and working with Adobe InDesign.
