I am an actor + musical artist. I write, compose and perform songs, characters and comedy. I'm a retired Professional Wife and exvangelical author of The Woman They Wanted. I have spent my life working in and around music and the performing arts. I have a B.A. in Communication from the University of New Hampshire where I also studied musical theatre. I attended a performing arts high school for vocal performance and studied classical piano as a child. Throughout my highly publicized marriage to author/pastor Joshua Harris and involvement with a church/ministry (based in the Washington DC area) I sang extensively as a featured soloist for live audiences throughout the US and in the recording studio. The majority of this work was done in collaboration with producer-arranger Bob Kauflin. Eventually, increased clarity regarding the lack of transparency amongst top leaders, as well as cumulative effects of a high-control environment led me to leave the organization. Fortunately (and unfortunately) I now have a plenty of material to put toward comedy. Some of that humor can be found in my book, The Woman They Wanted, released in August 2023, (memoir/self-help) which tells the story of my experience as the pastor’s wife of the ministry’s 3,000 member flagship church. Through short, serious, and sometimes humorous vignette’s the book seeks to expose the harmful misogyny and authoritarianism many churches still cling to and inspire people to trust their inner voice and break free.
