From working in the midst of a disaster to touring dairy farms, my professional life has never been dull. Always looking for a new challenge to take on! I started working as an American Red Cross training specialist, teaching kids and adults across southeastern Wisconsin the skills necessary to respond to an emergency. Currently, I provide social media marketing and create digital content for businesses throughout southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. As a professional writer and marketer, I utilize more than 10 years of experience as I work with businesses to determine their goals for their digital marketing pieces and social media channels and produce content fitting for their customer base and industry. Whether it's telling the story of the folks that benefit from the causes I have been privileged to be involved with, working with businesses to communicate with their audience, keeping donors informed of the impact they are making or working with brilliant leaders who will make sure our work endures beyond us, working with fantastic people makes each day a new educational experience. I am very fortunate to have developed high-level skills through these interactions, including:• coordinating website content and database information, • managing volunteers and interns, • working with the media, • reaching out to and communicated with a variety of audiences,• writing articles and press releases, and • producing print and online pieces showing the impact of the work I am fortunate to have been and continue to be a part of.
