I'm an experienced generalist dedicated to working for the greater public good. With a facility for detail, a friendly disposition, and a deep fondness for big ideas and practical goals, I excel at fitting in where I’m needed, taking the initiative to improve processes, and tackling problems with a smile. For the length of my career, I’ve been a user experience designer and project manager for digital agencies as well as for my own consulting business. Starting as a print designer out of college, I worked to constantly expand my skills and have worked as a product designer, information architect, content strategist, and throughout my career, project manager. I’ve gained significant experience concepting, planning and managing the creation of websites and other digital products, as well as developing content, branding, and messaging strategies. My experience as a project manager, content strategist and designer makes me a great fit for small organizations where it’s useful to wear multiple hats and step in to help where needed. I’m very experienced managing multiple concurrent projects, and have developed my proactive communication skills working with clients, coordinating project teams, and conducting in-depth interviews with people of all types for user research projects. I take a human-centered approach to my work, and believe strongly that listening to the end user helps us to create programs and experiences that resonate more deeply. Fostering cross-functional collaboration and breaking out of silos allows great things to happen. I enjoy digging into the details while contemplating the big picture, all the while asking the right questions and leading productive discussions.
