As the Manager of Programs & Training, I helped to grow BOKS from 300 schools to over 4,400 schools, youth and home-based programs across Canada. I played a key role in developing and implementing new program initiatives to support the growth and sustainability of the BOKS program. Utilizing my skills in leadership, marketing and project management, I was able to shape compelling programming and content development that made an impact across the organization and for the Reebok brand.I was recognized by my peers on multiple occasions with nominations for Creater's Choice Awards and received a Certificate of Recognition on two different occasions.

Western Canada

As the Regional Coordinator for Western Canada, I conducted outreach to schools in Western Canada to drive program enrollment, and facilitated group training and onboarding for all new schools. Through my position, I was able to increase awareness of the BOKS program, significantly improving enrollment numbers and sustainability of the program year-over-year.[BOKS (Build Our Kids' Success), is a physical activity program aimed to enhance academic performance and the overall health of kids through physical activity. University Technologies International (UTI) provided technology commercialization expertise to innovators and University of Calgary researchers in order to get innovative technologies to market.As the Director of Marketing & Communications, I developed and managed the overall communications program including management of the budget, strategic marketing communications planning and implementation, and the development of key relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. I managed communications staff with a collaborative leadership style and open approach.In addition, I provided communications expertise for UTI as a whole and also for the Company Creation team, creating a professional brand image within the technology sector.

I developed and launched a complete brand strategy including the development of a new web site to support and align with the goals of the organization and enhance the UTI brand.

As the Centennial Communications Project Lead, I was responsible for connecting the CBC brand to the Alberta centennial in impactful and meaningful ways. I developed the CBC Brand as it related to all CBC Alberta Centennial initiatives. I was responsible for event management including the creation and implementation of the Centennial Hockey Challenge - the first ever bi-provincial hockey championship - partnering with the WHL to make this event happen.I developed a strategic communications plan to promote CBC’s relationship with the Alberta Centennial through press releases, advertising, promotional spots on TV and radio, a web site and large-scale events. I was able to implement all of the key components of this plan with a minimal budget by building key partnerships to ensure great value for the allocated funds. In addition, I implemented effective internal communications to create awareness and build excitement and support for CBC Alberta Centennial projects.

As the Program Marketing Coordinator, I was responsible for all marketing and communications initiatives for CBC Radio Calgary. I created, developed and implemented communications, marketing and outreach strategies and projects. I researched, wrote and produced a variety of promotional materials, including news releases, on-air promotional spots and web updates. In addition, I wrote, edited and supervised production for a wide range of promotional items such as flyers, brochures, postcards and posters to support the CBC brand within the community.I built relationships with key stakeholders and negotiated strategic sponsorships to strengthen the role of CBC in the community and managed casual staff working within the communications department.
