I am currently a nursing student at Duquesne University. I am a member of the Duquesne University Student Nurses Association (DUSNA). As I continue my education, I am working to be the best nurse that I can be. I have learned the importance of the patient as the primary focus and collaboration in the nursing profession. I look forward to pursuing my career in becoming a professional nurse. I have had an apprenticeship at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital which showed me the true role of the nurse. Outside of school, I have had a job at Party Cake Shop for the past two years and I am still currently working there. This has allowed me to gain experience with creating relationships with people that I encounter regularly. I have also volunteered on numerous different occasions at places such as The Ronald McDonald House Charities and my local recreation center as a coach for youth soccer. All of these experiences have allowed me to become a leader and collaborator, which are both important roles as a nurse.

I also help train new employees, pack orders during the holidays, and clean the store.
