Managed and participated in the design of various projects including higher education, elementary education and religious. Acted as key designer for the new Meadow Montessori School in Monroe, MI and Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church in Brighton, MI. The latter included attending committee meetings and presenting the project throughout the development.

Plymouth, Michigan

Participated in the inception and growth of this boutique architecture and interior design firm. Collaborated in the establishment of the office, hiring personnel, creating graphics and drawing standards, and designing/managing projects.

Detroit, Michigan

Participated in an Integrated Project Delivery team of nation-wide architects, engineers, consultants and a construction manager to provide design development of the new international terminal at the Wayne County Detroit Metropolitan Airport. A project office was established exclusively for this effort. We designed a 2 million SF building coordinated with vehicular, aircraft, luggage and monorail traffic.

Ann Arbor, Michigan

Construction management as a full-time architect on site of a 5-story 125,000 SF University of Michigan classroom building. I reported on field observations daily, drew up change orders, responded to RFQs and RFIs, and approved certificates of payment monthly averaging $1 million. I worked in conjunction with the university Construction Manager and met daily with the General Contractor. I also attended regular sub-contractor meetings on site.

Livonia, Michigan

Participated in all aspects of design, interior design and construction management in this small multi-function firm. I was the key designer for Angela Hospice, the first in-patient hospice in Michigan which included working closely with the client through building design, furniture procurement and construction. I also led the design of two multi-family neighborhoods for seniors and retired clergy.

Detroit, Michigan

As a student of Architecture I supported project managers in many ways. Projects included the expansion of Cobo Hall exhibition center, the renovation of several General Motors office buildings and the Smith terminal at Detroit Metropolitan Airport.
