I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey with Sprout Strategy Group in Alaska, where I spent the majority of my life. Coming from a proud military family, I draw inspiration from my grandparents, who met in Laredo, Texas, in 1958. My grandfather, an 85 year old retired Chief Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, and my grandmother, a 91-year-old retired CCU nurse, have profoundly influenced my values and aspirations. In May 2022, after thoughtful consideration and guidance from my family, my daughter and I relocated to Tyler, Texas. Captivated by the East Texas lifestyle and with family in nearby San Antonio, I enjoy the warm climate, swimming, and spending quality time with my soccer-loving daughter. With over 24 years of experience in the advertising and marketing industry, I’ve had the privilege of partnering with some of Alaska’s most influential businesses and non-profits. A standout achievement in my career was serving as the art director and strategist for the historic Lisa Murkowski for Senate write-in campaign, where I directed impactful TV commercials and print materials. Murkowski’s victory was a landmark moment in U.S. electoral history, making her one of only two federal write-in candidates to win a U.S. election. This accomplishment underscores my expertise in political strategy and my ability to deliver results in high-stakes environments.I believe that success is built on collaboration and the strength of a dedicated team. My leadership and creative energy drive innovative ideas, a philosophy I have embraced since founding Sprout Strategy Group in 2010.

Agency Owner | Creative Director + Marketing StrategistSprout Strategy Group, Inc. 2017 - PresentBackground: Sprout Strategy Group emerged as a rebrand of my previous business, Plontá Creative. After taking a few years off to embrace motherhood and focus on my family, I wanted to reenter the workforce with a fresh identity that symbolized both personal and professional growth. The new name reflects my commitment to helping clients grow their businesses, just as I’ve experienced growth in my own life. When I reconnected with former clients to request permission to feature their work in my portfolio, I was met with excitement and support, with many saying, “Finally, you’re back!” It was a seamless transition, picking up right where we left off.Responsibility: Growing local client business revenue through sales, production, omnichannel marketing, and digital strategies.Success: Grew client base and increased profit for a new sector of client — enterprise construction material distributors — by adding new, targeted digital media to their channel portfolio and improving their online brand.Highlight: Grew the agency from the ground up during COVID to more than 20 clients in diverse economic sectors, including healthcare, telecommunications, resource development, and construction material distribution. -
Account SupervisorNorthwest Strategies 2014 - 2016Anchorage, Ak, UsBackground: Plonta Creative, formed a mutually beneficial business alliance with Northwest Strategies. A salaried position along with 10% commission for the clients I brought with me from my agency. Plonta Creative needed more bandwidth and NWS was the perfect match.Responsibility: Managing all aspects of accounts for the largest and most visible clients as well as the clients with whom I had long-term relationships, client acquisition, and leading a team of creative art staff, account support staff, and media buyers to develop brand and advertising campaigns for clients.Success: I successfully repaired a strained relationship between the agency and one of its key clients, a statewide building supply distributor. In my first week, the client traveled from Portland with the intent to terminate the partnership with Northwest Strategies. However, I managed to salvage the account and strengthen the relationship, leading to significant revenue growth over the following year.Highlight: In my first meeting with a major banking client, I successfully pitched a comprehensive rebrand. I oversaw the entire development and implementation process, which not only revitalized the client’s brand but also paved the way for the agency to win additional financial industry clients. This effort resulted in the account more than doubling in size. -
Agency Owner | Creative Director + Marketing StrategistPlontá Creative, Llc 2010 - 2016Anchorage, Alaska, UsBackground: When I launched the business, there was a high demand for web designers and social media managers in Alaska, but few professionals had the expertise to deliver both high-quality design and exceptional client service. I capitalized on that market gap and built a successful agency around it. As we grew, branding became a key component of our service offerings, expanding our reach and solidifying our reputation.Responsibility: Growing local client business revenue through sales, production, omnichannel marketing, and digital strategies, managing a team of eight creative and programming professionals.Success: In the first two years, I expanded from a solo operation to leading an eight-person team, successfully managing projects for some of Alaska’s largest and most renowned organizations and businesses.Highlight: Our first project was to create the website for my former employer Brilliant Media — quite the honor. Additional highlighted projects:• We developed a comprehensive website with a full back-end solution that streamlined job applications for remote catering workers. This innovation replaced the outdated in-person process, allowing workers to apply online and significantly improving job-filling speed, customer satisfaction, and revenue.• A statewide resource organization had been producing an outdated black-and-white newsletter since 1970. We revitalized it into a dynamic, full-color 28-page magazine that not only enhanced its visual appeal but also financed itself through member advertising, offering a superior publication at a reduced cost. Plontá Creative was honored on stage for our work, with over 200 attendees—including prominent business leaders, corporations, and a Senator—present at the resource conference dinner.• We rebranded one of Alaska’s largest steel companies and replaced their old printed product guide with a modern online catalog. This upgrade resulted in a 30% increase in revenue year over year. -
Senior Art DirectorBrilliant Media (Bradley Reid + Associates) 2008 - 2010Background: During my time at Brilliant Media (formerly Bradley+Reid), I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the advertising agency environment for the first time. I was excited to collaborate with talented creatives and entrusted with managing some of the agency’s largest client projects.Responsibility: Primary account manager, art director, and strategist for the Lisa Murkowski for Senator write-in campaign. Direct on-set for TV commercials, print materials and more. Success: This represents a historic moment in U.S. political history, as Lisa Murkowski is one of only two federal write-in candidates to have ever won an election in the nation’s history. Her victory is remarkable not only because write-in campaigns are exceedingly rare at the federal level but also because it underscores a unique and significant achievement in American electoral politics. Murkowski’s success is a testament to her exceptional political strategy, voter support, and resilience, setting a precedent in the annals of U.S. elections. Highlight: In addition to managing Murkowski’s campaign, I handled a range of creative and strategic tasks for several high-profile accounts. My responsibilities included developing and executing engaging social media content, designing visually impactful print materials, and crafting tailored marketing strategies. I worked with key clients such as AT&T, Ravn Airlines, Providence Health Systems, and the Alaska State Fair, ensuring each project met their unique needs and objectives with effective, results-driven solutions.

Art DirectorAlaska Communications 2005 - 2008Anchorage, Alaska, UsBackground: During my time with the telecommunications organization, I developed innovative strategies to outperform local competitors in internet and cellular sales. I was responsible for creating compelling graphic solutions that highlighted the superiority of our services, effectively positioning us ahead of the competition.Responsibility: I was responsible for maintaining brand identity and conceptualizing print advertising and mass-marketing messages for ACS. This involved collaborating closely with marketing specialists and the Director of Marketing on various aspects of the marketing strategy, including campaign development, budget management, design, reporting to the Executive Team, merchandising, and storefront design.Success: I developed a strategy to launch the Android ahead of our competitors by keeping our doors open past midnight. This allowed us to begin selling the first Android devices in Alaska at 12:01 a.m., accompanied by a ribbon-cutting ceremony with our CEO and a grand Android party. Hundreds of customers braved the Alaskan fall-winter cold to join the festivities and purchase their first Android. The event not only led to us exceeding our product allotment but also helped us attract customers from our rivals and significantly expand our customer base.Highlight: The Android campaign was celebrated as one of the most innovative in Alaska's history. Despite competing against AT&T and GCI—who were the only other operators planning to launch their Android campaigns at the time—we surpassed their efforts with our strategic and creative approach. Our campaign not only exceeded sales and revenue goals but also set a new standard for competitive thinking and implementation in the market. -

As one of 16 designers, I collaborated closely with the tearsheets, layout, and editorial departments, creating designs for numerous clients using industry-standard layouts.Responsibility: Graphic design for clients and special sections. Clearing the paper each evening before going home. Success: I won the Response-Oriented Advertising (ROA) competition out of 16 designers, which was designed to boost revenue through upselling existing clients. My approach involved creating spec ads at larger sizes to demonstrate increased value. As a reward for my achievement, the company awarded me two round-trip tickets to Hawaii and $750 in spending cash.Highlight: Consistently punctual and dedicated to continuous learning, I was quickly promoted early in my career and given the opportunity with the ADN. I was relocated to Wasilla, a rapidly growing city outside the Anchorage bowl area, to manage a special Wednesday publication. In this role, I designed the entire section and collaborated closely with the editorial department. -
