University of North Texas January 19, 2010 - November 2011Assistant Director of Student Accounting and University CashieringThe University in Denton requested my assistance in the strategic planning of establishing the first Student Accounting Department, Cashier’s Office, and Collections at the New University of North Texas Dallas. There I demonstrated innovation, and leadership, collaborating with ITSS to build, support, and separate the Dallas campus from the main campus at Denton enabling Dallas to become accredited as a separate and free-standing campus. The specialized skills, teamwork, attention to detail, and collaboration required to realize these complex achievements were motivating.

Network Administrator/Senior Accountant/Office ManagerConverted Matco Services DOS-based accounting system to QuickBooks and upgraded the company's computer system. The focus was on assisting the President and Vice-President/Controller with all accounting and finance functions. With the assistance of a network specialist, we executed comprehensive network security, hardware, software implementation, and staff training. My responsibilities also included fulfilling human resource generalist, personnel, and customer relations leadership duties. As well as working closely with Matco’s CPA on all aspects of the accounting functions, financial analysis, reports, sales tax, banking, account reconciliations, collections, month-end close, journal entries, AP/AR, and customer/technician support.
